💡 Intro

“NFTs as Digital Collectibles” were one of the strong points of 2022 for Web3: as collections including Reddit NFTs became wildly successful with even anti-nft user bases like Redditors.

Just today: Reddit teased a Superbowl promotion that could shine light once again on NFTs as digital collectibles and light up trading. Something to watch for!

Crypto-safety tools are one of the main things you all request more of. And it’s no wonder, considering how many scams there are in the space!

BubbleMaps put out this great thread on 5 red flags from projects. The entire thread is worth reading, but 2 of the main flags are below (and something you can look up for future crypto / nft projects using tools like BubbleMaps):

  1. Enterprise blockchain solutions provider SIMBA Chain announces it has been selected for a $30M STRATFI with the U.S. Air Force (USAF), following up on multiple projects the company has completed for the military branch in recent years - Bitcoin.com

  2. DeFi marketplace ArchimedesFi raises $4.9 million in seed round led by Hack VC - CoinDesk

  3. Bibliotheca DAO, a pioneering web3 game studio building eternal games on StarkNet, raised $4M - Announcement

The round was backed by Fabric Ventures.

Metamask Learn

Team / Funding / Backers Info / Transaction Amount: Gal Sagie, co-founder and CEO of crypto security-focused startup Hypernative, has announced that it has raised $9 million in seed funding as it emerges from stealth. The round was led by boldstart ventures and IBI tech fund, and also included strategic investments from Blockdaemon, Alchemy, Borderless, CMT Digital, Nexo, and angel investors.

Sagie and Dan Caspi, Hypernative's CTO, both have backgrounds in cloud infrastructure, building large-scale distributed systems and security, and have worked at places such as IBM, Google, and Microsoft.

The Fund closed on nearly $2.1 billion of investor commitments and is available on a secondary basis.
