🤝 Can Binance Bring Web3 to Twitter?

One of the most exciting news from the Twitter buyout, was Binance investing $500M into the purchase with Elon Musk.

Binance is an obvious proponent of crypto, and its CEO confirmed they will help support Web3 initiatives inside Twitter.

Twitter’s current Web3 features are not widely used, and adding more direct use cases like transfers or crypto payments would bring more adoption to Web3.

“We want to make sure that crypto has a seat at the table when it comes to free speech. There are also more tactical things like we want to help bring Twitter into Web3.”

Purpose of Tool: Web3.career has over 23,000+ job postings in the Web3 space, from marketing to community to dev to design-related positions. A platform to help you start a career in Web3 projects like Polkadot, CakeDefi, and Tron, they also list available internships for entry developer, non-tech, and designer jobs.

Their Salaries page posts updated information on how much do Web3 Devs & Web3 non-tech workers get paid, depending on the position, seniority, and location.

One of the most asked questions sent to us is: “What’s a good resource for finding Web3 jobs?”

Web3.career is a great pick for this. They do 2 things other job boards tend not to do:

  1. They update daily. They also have a huge supply of open jobs on the site.

  2. They post direct salary stats for new jobs. This is useful, so that you can see the salary range before actually applying.

Team / Funding / Backers / Other Info: As of this writing, Web3.career has 27,335 jobs in Web3 at 3,232 Web3 Projects listed. Not only web3.career update the site daily, they also have daily and weekly newsletters, which update users through email on new postings.

If you have a job listing to feature or list on the site, web3.career charges a $198 fee with paid add-ons such as being featured on the top list, adding a logo, or highlighting a job with color.

DEFIYIELD  

"Manage Your DeFi Life."

Type of Product: DeFi Analytics & Tooling

Purpose of Tool: DefiYield is a dashboard that allows anyone to keep track of their decentralized assets in a non-custodial form, while their expansive arsenal of tools enables users to be alerted of any security concerns or learn about any new and exciting opportunities.

Defi can be hard to navigate (specifically around tracking your holdings across Defi protocols) but tools like DefiYield.app make it easier.

Their platform’s UI/UX is great, and you only need to copy/paste a public address to see all of its Defi holdings (screenshot below.)

Team / Funding / Backers / Other Info: Last year October 2021, DefiYield App raised funding over 4 rounds. Their latest funding was raised on Apr 8, 2022, from a Pre-Seed round. DefiYield App is funded by 7 investors. DWF Labs and Blockchain Founders Fund are the most recent investors.

As of this writing, DefiYield now has 1,000,000+ users, with 40+ team members and 33+ chains integrated. They also just launched their ultimate crypto guide 5 days ago, a Step-by-Step Guide on 9+ biggest airdrops.

Machinations

Type of Product: Developer Tool

Purpose of Tool: Machinations is a browser-based tool to design and balance game systems, predict game economies & systems for premium, free2play, and play2earn games. Machinations uses a Turing-complete visual language. It provides you with the power of multiple simulations at a click of a button with no macros or code. This results in an easy way of identifying weaknesses in your game design.

Game designers can:

Team / Funding / Backers Info / Transaction Amount: Founded in 2018, Machinations.io is the only browser-based platform used by 35.000+ professionals, rolling out integrations with popular telemetry providers & markets and 400+ academic institutions. As of Q2 2022, Machinations.io has 22,195 Designers registered across 2.500+ studios.

Just last May 2022, Machinations announced the closing of a $3.3M Series A round, led by Hiro Capital. Machinations invested the capital into hiring and developing powerful new features.

Slingshot

“The web3 way to swap crypto"

Type of Product: DeFi

Purpose of Tool: Slingshot is a DeFi application that lets you buy, sell, and swap over 40k cryptocurrencies at the best prices, with 0% swap fees. Slingshot combines the performance and ease of centralized exchanges with the openness and transparency of decentralized exchanges.

The following networks are supported by Slingshot: Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Binance BNB Chain, Osmosis, & Canto.

Slingshot is still in Beta, but its UX is phenomenal and has a Robinhood type feel (vid below in tweet).

It’s not in the App Store yet, but should be launching soon.

Team / Funding / Backers Info / Transaction Amount: Last December 2021, Slingshot raised $15 million in a funding round led by Ribbit Capital, raising $18.1 million in two rounds.

Just two weeks ago, on October 18th, 2022, Slingshot just released its Beta App to 2099 holders and participants, confirming their access to the app followed by a Testflight invitation link. Slingshot also offered a racing game where the first 100 players to finish the race will receive immediate access to the trading platform. Everyone who completes the race will receive access over the coming weeks.
