On the back of the FTX news: every crypto company seems to have launched new security features/tools this week.

Coinbase just added a super useful Transaction Preview feature yesterday, which we cover below (we also added their wallet today as a tool to give more info.)

🛡️ Coinbase adds Transaction Preview security feature

This Transaction Preview will show users an estimate of how their token balance(s) will change after approving each transaction, before they approve it.

Why This Matters

  • More crypto & Web3 companies are adding new security measures, making using Web3 a safer experience (especially for newcomers to Web3.)

  • We’ve noticed that major companies in the space are increasingly adding security features to their own wallets/dapps/tools (making some existing external security tools obsolete.)

  • As more companies integrate these features: more of the existing security solutions will likely move their focus over to detection of scams.

Last month in October 2022, Coinbase launched its new open-source Coinbase Wallet Mobile SDK, the easiest and fastest way to integrate Coinbase Wallet into mobile web3 dapps. The Mobile SDK is already live with multiple mobile dapps including dYdX, DeBank, Showtime, and Tribes.

WalletRoulette

"Connect with fellow web3 people"

Type of Product: Social

Purpose of Tool: WalletRoulette is an attempt to ease connections amongst web3 enthusiasts. You connect your wallet, match with someone, get insights about their on-chain activity and chat. WalletRoulette is chat only, where you can click Next whenever you want, and be connected to another user.

WalletRoulette uses the collections of the NFTs you own and the main on-chain events you participated in are shared with others to give insights about you. The club is open everyday between 11pm - 11:30pm in EST.
